As Assistant Marketing Manager at the Council on Aging of Central Oregon, I created Canva graphics for the organization, managed the website, wrote blogs, and ran the Facebook account @CouncilonAgingofCentralOregon.
The “Food Fur All” campaign I ran raised funds for Meals on Wheels clients’ pets. The campaign focused on telling stories of our clients — how our program helps seniors keep their pets out of shelters, how they can now afford pet food, and how these homebound seniors’ pets can now be transported by volunteers for veterinary care. I wrote 10 Facebook posts, an email, an e-newsletter, a print newsletter, a blog, and made graphics and a video for this campaign. We brought in $10,000 over two weeks, which will cover 6 months of pet food for 100 animals so our clients don’t have to make hard choices between feeding themselves or their pets.
